'Blueprint' EP now on sale

Ian Scarbro's highly anticipated first solo EP 'Blueprint' opens with 'Bite The Hand', a blistering acoustic rock track that illustrates to best effect his frantic yet intricate guitar style as well as the hugely full sound he accomplishes. Unless your sense of rhythm is terminally faulty you will find a part of your body to tap.

'Run Away', possibly Ian's best known song, is a simpler anthemic track, a popular example of Ian's rich vocals and gut-wrenchingly honest lyrics of the brutal failings of a love lost.

Although Ian's sound is often likened to acoustic Nirvana or Pearl Jam, it's through his constant ability to surprise his audience with new directions that he finds his real strength. And so in contrast to the powerful delivery of the proceeding two tracks, 'Say Something', is an incredably delicate ballad that shows a vast vocal range delivered with a beautiful tenderness rarely heard from a male vocalist.

'To Be There' reverts to Ian's strong guitar driven and lyrically self deprecating style. It's an honest, heartfelt love song of accepting human failings whilst expressing an honest and uplifting intent.

'Blueprint' is heart-warming and in parts challenging, but most importantly catchy. There's little to dislike in his effortlessly intricate but unpretentious sound.
